Jennifer tells him how impressed she is with him, but her voice is already cracking. She doesn't want to draw out the tension. "It honestly breaks my heart to say this, but you did not make it into the Top 24," she tells him. Chris takes it graciously and thanks the judges before leaving. He seems okay as he walks away; Jennifer's the one having a rough time. "It was a great run," he tells Ryan with a smile.

The American idol is a show of foxtv. we learned earlier this week that Fox decided to pass on bringing J. Lo on as an AI judge reportedly because her diva demands got too out of control. In the wake of all the talk of Jennifer's "firing" from a job she never really had in the first place, J. Lo posted an image on her official Twitter profile that seems to suggest that she is not at all upset that she won't be judging American Idol … apparently because she is too bizzy deciding with of her numerous diamonds to wear:

Jennifer Lopez could still end up as a judge on American Idol, providing she can ditch her diva tendencies. Nigel Lythgoe, who is now the executive producer on the show, doesn't think that will be a problem.
"Hello? These people don't know Jennifer Lopez. She's a wonderful woman. I've never seen her be a diva in her life!"
Lythgoe also confirmed that there will only be three judges this season, saying:
"As far as I'm concerned, I would like the attention to go on the kids, because it's about the talent that comes on this show and sings."
With J-Lo on screen, I know where my attention will go...
